Hi about to buy a 1100 evo, the new one. Was in the dealer yesterday. Anyone have any bad experiences with them or are they great, was considering also a spped triple but the ducati is my favourite at moment..... Should i go and part with my pennies?
I collect mine on Wednesday - can't wait! I tried the Yamaha FZ8 and FZ1 (good but not for me) and went to try out the Ducati Monster 796 before moving on to the Triumphs...but never got past the 1100 EVO ABS that I just had to test after seeing it in the flesh and hearing it - I very quickly realised that it was perfect for me. I'm trading in my GSX-R600 and very much looking forward to the Duke. :biggrin:
What colour you going for? I am thinking of black? Are you buying new from dealer? If so have you bargained a good discount, i will be trying for at leat a nice ducati leather jacket to be thrown in!
I've gone for a used model in red from a dealer. Think I got a reasonable deal. The bike is mint with very low mileage (less than their demo!).
Well done! I've been out on mine a few times now and it is a great ride, learning to surf the wave of torque rather than relying upon outright HP. Already buying mods too; tail tidy and crash protection arrive this week and I've bought a paddock stand set so I can clean and maintain it more easily.
Can't wait for mine, just changed colour to red from black! Already looking at mods, not keen on the plastic brake and clutch fluid containers do looking at the rizoma ones. For your paddock stand do you need bobbins? Which stand u get! I am going to treat myself to a nice Ducati leather jacket!
No bobbins required for these bikes, I got my stand this morning from Constands in Germany and looks like a good piece of kit. ConStands - Solid Work. Agree re the reservoirs, been looking at Rizoma too but while I decide whether I want them or not I bought a pair of reservoir socks off eBay from a Canadian company - black with Ducati Corse in red/white.
