Just noticed yesterday that both front discs rotate maybe 2/3 mm , I had both replaced about 4 months ago as they had warped, will try and get to my Ducati dealer today. I thought I could feel a slight " shudder " when braking, may just be on my last few months of warranty.
After only 3 - 4 months? There's something clearly wrong there. As Chris says, don't risk your neck until you've had it thoroughly checked

I'm pretty sure faulty discs are covered, as I said, I had the warped discs replaced under warranty a few months ago, I'll phone them up and maybe ride carefully to the dealers.
Get ready for a classic, " they are semi-floating discs " hmmm???????? gonna pass by anyway and have them take a look. Would be interesting to know if any other Monster owners out there have the same condition.
Wierd, I'm quoting myself. anyway, I stand corrected, the discs are indeed meant to move ( rotate ) a fraction.
floating discs do look a bit strange i had a set of full full floaters and they used to rattle when you moved the bike
