Hi Guys Need some help with a Zumo 660 I bought for my multi please! I want to put some music on the zumo mp3 player and I bought a micro sd card to store it in the zumo. When I plug it in my computer zumo shows up as a device and the sd card installed shows as another removable drive. I loaded the music on the sd card but cannot find it on the zumo when I unplug it. I can load music on the zumo internal memory but space is very limited. I am a bit of a luddite where computers are concerned, what am i doing wrong? its doing my head in! Hope someone can help Cheers
Hey mmdog, You need to put the mp3s in the right folder. On my 660, the removable drive's name is "ZUMO_FILES" Open that folder and if not there, create a new folder called "Garmin". Open that folder and create another new folder called "Media". Open that folder and create another new folder called "Music", then put the mp3s in there. so the final folder structure should be: ZUMO_FILES Garmin Media Music that should do it for you. hope it helps - Desmodab
Hi Desmodab Thanks for reply, I have managed too get it to work, problem was the files were the wrong format, the zumo only accepts mp3. I had downloaded files from my i tunes account which uses a different format. Cheers
To avoid this problem in the future, there is a setting in iTunes that ensures any future songs are saved as MP3s by default. I did this after I converted my older stuff and since then it's a simple cut and paste to get stuff onto the Zumo's card
