I spotted a couple of really nice Hypers on here, ducatiJason and DrDuke, these bikes both seem to have two-stage seats and I'm just wondering, as a shorter rider with 30" inside leg, whether a hyper is out of the question for me and whether these are really designed for the taller rider?
Wouldn't mind knowing that answer myself, having sample the Multistrada I've now got a fancy for a supermoto-style bike. The Multi (an old 1000DS) is 33" seat height and I'm okay on that with 31" legs, but the Hyper is an inch taller apparently.
The Hyper isn't all that tall ....the DP sport seat is approx 1/2inch lower than STD, however it's a little harder so it doesn't make a lotbof difference. If you can live with the Multi seat height the Hype shouldn't be a problem.
I have a 1100s with the performance seat. I'm 5"8 & 79kg. Running stock Ohlins shock & spring on minimum preload with three threads showing on the tie rod bar. And all is well... One of the advantages of the bike at low speed & junctions is its relatively low weight
