Front Brake pads

  1. Time for some new ones.
Any recommendations beyond the obvious ?

  2. If you have Monoblocs, I suggest Bendix.
You wouldn't believe how much Ducati OEM parts are.. Bendix are cheap at £80 a set...... And they work fine.

  3. Was quoted 36 aper side of ebc and 88 per side for brembos at the local Ducati dealer.
    Probably go for the cl's

  4. Steve, when I changed mine, I had heard a few horror stories about EBC's...... (can't remember the detail...sorry)
    That why I went Bendix.

  5. I stocked and used Bendix for several years now with no problems. Cheaper than 36 quid a caliper to. The MF compound will cover pretty much all you ask of them.

  6. EBC pads can be harsh on discs - carbone lorraine are nice.

  7. I found EBC to be very variable dependent on the heat in them. Not a good thing to have to put up with.

  8. Bendix are good, as nelly suggests, as are performance Friction in 07 or 95 compounds, and SBS in Dual Carbon.......SBS around £46 a caliper, the PF a little more expensive at £53....

  9. Howdo!
Tried the SBS Dual compound and on the road I didn't really get on with them, mainly due to the operating temp. Once up to temp they do offer good stopping power, however on the road they just didn't offer that initial bite/stopping that I was after (Brake later n harder??Maybe ? But that's not always the case). I then tried the SBS RS which ticked all the boxes for me, good initial bite, good stopping power at a reasonable price. Even stuck them in the GSXR :upyeah:

    Cheers Pablo
