Just notice this evening when compressing my forks fully they make a clunk as they return up?! I've never noticed this before, is this normal? My bikes a 2008 1098S with 7k on the clock! Cheers in advance
It does it with both the front break on and off, I did think that but surely it wouldn't clunk with the breaks on?
Although in saying that the noise changed when the front break was applied! I think it's my front discs gripping
A couple of months ago someone described similar symptoms on a 999 (I think) and was about to get forks overhauled before I suggested headstock bearing wear/play, which is what it turned out to be.
