Can you buy motogp leathers?

Having just had a quick Google, I doubt it, the sponsors change quite a bit. Personally, if you know the leathers you want, Hayden as stated, email Alpinestars and ask them.

I assume you mean replicas rather than the actual things, which would only be useful in the main if you were a dwarf.

Dainese will do you custom leathers. Just ask them.

i think you also would need the relevant bike, i mean repsol leathers is going to look crap on a yamaha

 

I think most people would look like a proper tool riding around in a pair of those.

 

Not if you've got a top of the range bike and ride it as was intended.

Well, that's the problem isn't it? If you have got a Desmo, it does need to be ridden in a certain way - you do sort of have to live up to it, in my book. The Desmo owner who brakes too much for corners and has monster chicken strips, and who never redlines it - well, you do look like a bit of a dick. You don't want to be an "all the gear but no idea" sort of rider.

Whereas, if you've got a smaller less ostentatious bike, no one really cares how you ride it.

So to me, if you are going to do ostentation, you might as well have the leathers to go with it. The worst would be to ride it about in a leather jacket, suit trousers and office shoes. Eeek!

Went to Moto Direct in Derby for a Dainese custom fit last weekend, a nice little Italian chap and his entourage came over to measure up a few people - I got an invite via my Ducati dealer.

Quite please with how it turned out, few more changes to make but I may just take the plunge.

Cue MASSIVE amounts of abuse from you lot...
