  2. If you're wiring it directly to the battery, don't forget to unplug whatever it is you're plugging into it, cos there'll be no way to stop it draining the battery if you forget. Safer to wire it to a switched live, so you can't forget. You'll probably find there's a spare socket on the standard loom for just such an accessory. Check the wiring diagram or check with your dealer.

  3. What Multi? There is a wire specifically ready for satnav etc front left of the bike, where I put an Ultimate Addons power pack. I now have two different end leads, one for iphone and one for mini usb which fits my garmin. Works perfectly and jo risk of touching the battery and resetting everything

  4. Even the old aircooled multistrada had an accessory socket near the battery. I only found this out after faffing about fitting a power socket...

  5. the lead that Bradders mentions, even powers the Ducati performance LED lights, and the sat nav at same time :upyeah:

  6. Yes I fitted exactly that to a switched live , it sits under the seat powering a BlueTooth device.

  7. You may want to look at this

    OptiMate O-101 USB Charger

I have routed the Optimate battery connector to under the pillion seat (small hole needed), this unit can live under the seat and power / charge anything you want, for me that's a phone and a Video cameras. Comes with all the necessary cable and at £25 is good value. To charge the bike just release the pillion seat and plug in the Garage Optimate charger, not an issue as the only time the mains charger is used is when the bike in in the garage.

  8. it'll only be used for stuff I wouldn't leave/forget may be camera or phone to be honest it probably wont get used "just in case " sort of thing, I've put it under pillion seat wired into optimate lead.

  9. That's what I said, but I still had to bump start my bike in Germany and France cos I forgot to unplug my satnav. Far better to wire to a switched live.

  10. The multi one is only to live, ie ignition off no power. Thats how I like it :upyeah:

  11. I got one of those

    Good piece of kit

  12. I already used that for my Tom Tom Rider Sat Nav, soldered the Sat Nav power lead into the tails that Ducati supply in the non-bike side mating connector.
