Thread hijack ,sorry... Hi Al Sorry not got back to you earlier mate,I've have a quick search but everything we've got is bigger sizes or Laydeez at the moment. The missus is on a buying spree so you never know though.Anything comes in you'll be the first to know. Apologies for the hijack and delay L
I’m looking for new leathers at the moment, I’m 6’3 and 14.5 stone and im find leathers are too short for me, if I go longer then they are to baggy. If I buy a new set off the peg anybody know if it’s best to go to short and have them lengthened or the right length and have them taken in?
An RST two piece would suit you down to the ground (so mind you don't trip over it)...........RST do a mix and match on jackets and trouser sizes...........Official Site For RST - Manufacturers of road & race clothing, helmets, gloves, boots & accessories | rst-moto.com
I hope my missus doesn't read this. I've only just managed to convince her that anyone who has a chest size, larger than their waist is freak of nature. I actually bought a set of one piece leathers off Fleabay just before Christmas. Nankai (remember them). They are extra large, but to be fair the vendor did say it was Japanese sizing and that they would probably fit someone 5' 10" and average build. I thought I was average but obviously not. After rolling around on the floor for several minutes, I managed to get them on! They are actually quite comfortable to sit in, but standing up to look in the mirror brought a tear to my eye and a lump (or two) in my throat! I reckon Harry Houdini would have struggled to take them off and I managed to crick my neck in the process. So, the question is; anybody know a good diet:frown:
Soup is your friend, seeing as it is mainly water. I don't do diets - they are tedious and disruptive. But if you have soup to begin with, you won't give yourself second helpings, now, will you? If you want to make a lot of good soups, the book Soup Kitchen is pretty good - lots of interesting soups in there. Then there is exercise... I think the secret is just to slightly up calorie burning (a little more exercise, nothing drastic) and slightly decrease calorie intake (not eating too many cakes and desserts). And I don't eat as much cheese as I'd like to. I drink wine pretty much every day, but not so much beer. Look on it as being more of a 6 month project than a 6 week one.
I'll second that, my 40" rst voltage fits like a glove, and I am anything but normal, my upper body is quite a lot larger than my lower half, my chest and neck are completely at odds with my skinny lower half
Only 40" chest? and that's at odds to the rest of you?? Farkin hell...What, 10" wast and size 2 feet?? I hope you are only 3' - 9" tall......
32" waist (was 28" until recently) and size 7 / 8 feet. 16 1/2 to 17" collar 5' 7" tall... I'm not a large person..
Yeah but.........I'm 42" - 43" chest, 31" waist (max); 5'-6" tall (oh alright, 5'-5 1/4" or 5'-6" on a good day) collar I don't measure because I can't do any of them up........Feet 7.5 - 8....... RST stuff simply doesn't fit me....
Sounds like you are even more top heavy than me. I don't do baggy, so the 40" RST one piece fits me perfectly, fitted but not restrictively or uncomfortably tight. Only a small shift in proportion would throw that completely off the scale. It's worth noting I only wear a thin under suit under my leathers, so there is no clothing as such to add baulk. My 6'3" ice hockey playing mate (a sturdy lad) takes a size 44 suit
I can't get nuffing under my one piece other than a T-shirt, pants and socks.........that's from new. My two piece is T-Shirt under the jacket, but just about get away with thermal LJs under the trousers. My fitting problem is shoulder and chest width, compared to waist (its the pecs and lats, you see)
Yup, I quite see that would be the problem - I don't have spare room there. Fortunately RST seem quite generous with the stretch panels so a snug fitting suit stays comfortable. The only area that's baggy is the left thigh, but that's because it's about 4 inches smaller than the right (I can get my hands around it, touching index fingers at the back, and thumbs at the front)
I couldn't close a 44" RST jacket across the chest and even with it open, it was cutting me under the armpits. I'm resigned to getting my one piece altered into a two piece, but I'm looking for someone near enough to me because it's going to need about two or three fittings at a guess. I hope they are worth it, original cost in 1990 was over £900.......
Soup..what a shit diet. Bland bey d belief and massive ball ache to prepare anything away from home. chicken and rice...food of the gods ;-)
