  1. dear forum

i would like to buy a 2013 panigale 1199 . but i want my 1199 to have an all black color . there is nothing wrong with the red 1199 or the tricolor 1199 -- they are gorgeous bikes . i just prefer all black bikes . has anybody heard of ducati planning to put out a new black 1199 in 2013 ? feedback will be appreciated . thank you .

But one and have it sprayed? Standard Ducati paint is designed to fall off in wet cold weather to stop the frame corroding, could do with a rethink... :upyeah:

  3. thank you for your idea 470 . i have considered buying a red or tricolor 1199 then having a professional paint shop paint it black . but i would rather buy a black 1199 produced at the ducati factory . secondary paint jobs never seem to have the finished look of a factory paint job although i could be wrong . i am amazed that ducati does not offer a black 1199 . maybe they will in 2013 . we shall see . what is it with the italians and red colored vehicles ? even ferraris are usually red . i realize that red is some kind of racing symbol for italy -- still black bikes are a standard everywhere else . now that ducati is an audi company i believe we may see more black machines from ducati . i still love the way the tricolor 1199 looks . i would not kick it out of bed for eating crackers .

  6. I don't think any of the painters I've used could do as bad a job as Ducati, even on an off day

  7. Perhaps if you write your wish down and send it to santa it may come true?

  8. The 999 came out in red. Then they released a black one (which opened my wallet). If you can wait a couple of years, I bet you'll be able to get one. Maybe even a pearlescent white one.

Otherwise buy a red one and get an aftermarket fairing (bound to be along soon) and paint that black. Keep brand new red bodywork for enhanced resale value. You'll just need a second tank at a cost of £6'784.

  10. They'll be a black one like the 999, 1098, 1198 before it just wait a year... Or two

  11. What about yellow? any takers for yellow, such a popular colour!

  12. Actually that one with glossy black finish looks really nice... would be even better with gold wheels.

  13. I must admit Im not a fan of the red 1199... too much red? The Tricolore looks amazing tho! Wouldnt go for some Rossi-rep overstickered wankstick look.

  14. Thanks.....

Just paid the deposit and waiting for delivery of this...

Not really, but beggars can't be choosers so I'd learn to live with it given the chance!!

  15. A Motorapido rep would be nice on the road. Likes his one too...

  18. And you could usefully lose the yellow bits.

I have no idea why the GOAT thinks fluorescent yellow goes with everything. In fact, it goes with almost nothing and definitely not red and white.

  19. love the black vinyl wrap where and how much?
