Actual Hydralic pressure in Brake circuit

  1. We've already got all that kit. The issue is completely removing all the old fluid (possibly contaminated), so I can switch to a completely new synthetic fluid. Further removing any water and gases dissolved in the fluid.
Simply adding in new brake fluid at the top until it comes out the bottom (assuming there is a colour change) will not change all the fluid, just most of it. There are plenty of spaces that will not clear.

  2. Yes they do have the bleed nipples on the bottom (great for removing the old fluid, but not any trapped air/water vapour) and there are many threads on here about bleeding the rear brake. Further Ducati have updated (at least twice) the method for bleeding.
Andys site has some really useful stuff on brake bleeding.

Further the ABS modulator is even further up than the caliper and master cylinder, so that’s where most of the air would end up.
Hence my modification on the ABS modulator to add further bleed nipples here.

  3. Good luck...

  4. Just a thought: Are the pipes into the ABS unit a banjo fitting? You can get banjo bolts with a bleed nipple built in.
