Hi I know I`m a very junior member, but while the weather is SH*t. (sorry not very good) Could you take a moment to have a look at what I`m doing in April 2014 too get my old Ducati dirty. I need all the help I can get to reach my goal. Other forums have started the ball rolling in a BIG way. Laverda, BSA, etc. Please take a moment to read the "full story" on the web link, yes 1800 miles. I`ve had very kind donations already from Australia, Holland, Isle of Man, I need "Ducati" for the first time on those good luck messages. On the web page will be added a "blog" before and during the challenge. The silly "ironing board" photo "training" helped Arai support the challenge. When it Snows next there will be a photo outside with jacket on to get them to support (Paris Head office) are watching. Thanks for looking and "others" have asked: 100% of kind donations are going straight to the charity. I am covering petrol, friends and other motorcyclists are putting me up. Charity "SAID" I can`t call it a race!!!!! ian wood is fundraising for Dementia UK
Ducati "Brothers" unite. Tom big thanks for that. Route is pencilled in but I`m not looking at "the full scale wall map"!!!! Have you seen the size of Scotland!!! for as long as I can get away with it. Night stops are pencilled in PLan "A" (and stops) are if all goes well Plan "B" if weather is against me Plan "C" if above is SH*t and something falls off bike or ME. Plan "D" if all above and I can`t do the miles per day. Will post here when all is worked out. Route is "A" roads mostly (fag breaks in laybyes). Up to Durham first day (A1 etc). Then if I can, right up to Wick second night stop? Then down too Glasgow middle/West route (third day). All depends on weather as too where I am and what days. Finm? where is your area? ian
i work in oban and live near ballachulish near fortwilliam (duror), so could enjoy an Ecig break with you depending on what route you take. good luck a worthy cause.
Finm I`ll let you know and others who would like to follow my "Blog" where I get. I`ll detail route soon. Yes "A VERY WORTHY CAUSE" and close to my heart (please read full story on link). Come on Ducati riders, we need to see on the link "what`s your ride" or "who you wave a flag too" me Rossi and I think "Cal" will do a good job.
yes me too Finm, AS I said, started as a joke "Iron Butt" challenge. Then Arai are helping and Furygan want to see me "with" jacket on as well "in Snow" training on "Ironing Slate" (as they call it). I think I`ll call it "Climate training" MMMmmmm!!! very warm jacket!!. That will get Paris interested in helping. ian wood is fundraising for Dementia UK
