Dates aren't up yet, but if you haven't been before - it's well worth a ride out. It's free and is usually the first Sunday of each month from April to September apart from when the Revival and Festival of Speed are on. Different themes each month - Supercars, Italian, "anything but cars" etc Always some nice bikes and cars to look at, and you get to park on the Grid if you pre-register (it doesn't take long - go on The Goodwood website and you upload photos of your bike). Breakfast is expensive at the circuit, but there is a cheaper alternative 3 miles down the road in Chichester. The Italian Sunday gets rammed, but plenty of Ferraris and Ducatis to leave the circuit with! I generally head down from the Wokingham, Hindhead route, so plenty of meeting points on the way. I'll add a link once the dates are announced.
Spotted on MCN and on the Goodwood site that they're planning a 'Vee-Power' engine special .....although it looks like it'll be the last one on Sun 2nd Nov.
Im planning on getting myself down to that one too. I can meet you at the Ace early doors if you wanted. Im trying to get my bike registered with Goodwood, so I can part on the straight
I've got to make some of these this year! Me and a friend stumbled on one last year whilst out for an early morning blast. Riding from Midhurst way we were rumbled by a Ferrari, who overtook us(!) Whilst we were fannying around. We gave chase but didn't engage as the driver knew the roads and knew how to drive. It was actually a nice, refreshing change to see a car like that be driven properly as God intended! We followed him all the way to Goodwood, where, from what seemed like nowhere we were suddenly surrounded by every Italian supercar you could think of!! Up until that point we didn't even know about the breakfast club - what an introduction that was! I can't make the 4th as we have a wedding to attend (I've tried falling out with my wife so she would go without me, but she's far too nice!) So I'll check the website and see which other ones I could make.
Got an email from Goodwood this week saying I've got a pass to park within the circuit, so I'm praying for good weather on the 4th to give the 851 it's first run out of the year. Anyone else going? I'll be arriving and leaving early as I have to be somewhere at lunchtime. Bring on the sun!!
To get a pass you need to register on their website, upload details and a photo of your bike/car and apply for a pass. Took about five minutes and is very straightforward.
Rain or shine - we will be there for 8.15 a.m. (as usual!). If not busy/wet will head to Aero club for fodder. Hope you get a good slot on track
STW I am hoping to be there. Possibly by car due to a late night on Saturday and the two hour journey for me to get there.
