Been pondering on this project for about 10yrs now slowly collecting parts as they came along, started a chassis last year but junked that. Made a new jig and set about making a new chassis last week which is now almost finished.
This one had a 900 reverse head motor in it. the only thing with both carbs in the centre of the motor is you lose about a gallon of fuel space. The tank will be flat on the bottom like the one I have here to copy on the TT it has a wedge fitted to the underside that runs parallel with the bracing tube.
But with pod filters in place and no airbox Sam, I'm guessing enough fuel capacity could be built into the tank ?
Short manifolds and seperate carbs would be a better option possibly cutting and welding to original inlets been searching for suitable non CV carbs to use instead of going the off the shelf FCR route.
I have short Malossi inlet tracts and have split a set of std Mikunis ready.........your reverse head doesnt look like the billet one I found being made in Holland Sam...did you convert it yourself ?
The one I am using is a pantah 600 motor which has the heads the proper way around I call the "newer" ss and monster reverse head confusion on my behalf. I see what you are doing now feck me are they not an expensive item to buy?
Yup....about 1500 euros for a bare head cnc machined from billet, but its already flowed......oversize valves, remachine the front head, 944 HC pistons, ST2 cams.......light flywheel....
