Petrol cap and key

  1. Hi all

I've got a spare tank but I need a fuel cap. It's to be used for trackdays, was thinking of getting a keyless cap but do the standard key caps come around often cheap as I think that would be better?

Ive no experience of aftermarket caps so not sure on quality and if they leak?

    Thanks
    Jeff

  2. If you got another keyed cap your key wouldn't fit, so it would either be the expense of getting the lock cut to match your key, or having two keys.

Aftermarket caps will be fine as they get used for racing. I have a spare tank that I use for trackdays and it has a "race" non-locking cap on it.

I also have a second-hand non-locking fuel cap in black that you can have for £20 if you want it...
