  1. Just heard on our local news that the Canadian Lancaster is supposed to be coming to the UK. Its flying in to Conningsby in August. Its a bit late for the Big Airshows but will still be sight worth seeing flying with the BBMF Lancaster

  2. wow just seen this post would love to see them together will have to look on their website !

  3. Thanks for the post and I will definitely be up for watching one of the flights!
This photo is from East Kirkby in 2012. My father and Uncle both flew Lancs. Uncle James died in 1943 while flying from RAF Spilsby that was just a few miles away from East Kirkby. Sadly 7 Lancs all crashed after returning from a successful mission while attempting to land in heavy fog. The only surviving crews ditch in the sea.

  6. Going to do East Kirkby this year. They are working to ward getting Just Jane airworthy.

  7. When Just jane is up and flying they will have to bring it over again, 3 Lancs , maybe the Kiwi built Mosquito and a few Spitfires and Hurricanes - Merlin Heaven!

  8. My father has been in hospial for a few days, the bloke in the next bed was an 89yr old ex Lancaster bomber rear gunner. I was a little in awe of him. Such a quiet lovely old man. He must have seen some things.

  9. I went in it in January. While were there they said about the Canadian one coming over. A very humbling experience sitting in it.

  10. I believe the kiwi restored Mosquito is actually Canadian owned, and is back there now.

  13. Thanks Higgy, I'd love to see one of them flying let alone a pair at the same time.

Lest we forget all those who flew in them.
