Just completed my first modification, started with an easy one, a woodcraft clutch cover, nice increase in noise, just need to choose a colour for the new pressure plate I now need. The list is endless, Lucky for me that the good lady is understanding.
In fact saying that someone had a pressure plate in the for sale area....not an Oberon one....ducati performance one I think.
I know blue should really not work but I think it might, red is the obvious choice but does that make it a little boring
the clutch plate is on the list although I am tempted to go down the slipper clutch route as well, only had the bike 2 weeks and the urge to modify grows
Yer telling me....haven't stopped since last September....currently waiting for more hel lines.....blue Oberon clutch master cylinder on the way soon....
Removed the o2 sensors this evening and refitted some parts that have been powder coated...said goodbye to the flapper valve motor as well....changed tail tidy yesterday for my homegrown stainless model
For some reason motorcycles never quite satisfy until they are modified to death, spent 4 years tweeking a street triple then sold it as soon as I was happy with it, brought the Hyper and started again. it came with a full SC project exhaust and a Wasp PUK which was nice, so I am left with the cosmetics, and possibly brakes as I fitted a Beringer set up on my previous Motard and it is honestly the best mod I ever did to anything. just need to find about £1900 for a twin set up for the Hyper, and sneak it past the wife.
That was one of the things I was toying with doing....the airfilters, but the wasp stuff is too steep for what theyre pushing...I think even with out the power commander they supply its something like 900 quid....ironically theres an sc exhaust on ebay (twin pipe version) which looks really nice. I think regarding the calipers brembo are pretty well up there, if I was going to update those id go for the monoblock version which Is what ive got on my RSV4 factory, theyre the strongest brakes ive used yet...
I had wanted an SC exhaust for my street triple but ended up getting an arrow 3-1 for it instead, so when I was looking for a Hyper and found one 6 miles from home witha full de-cat SC system it was an obvious choice, the Wasp was justa bonus, sadly it does prevent fitting the HM69 22 litre tank, but you ca't have everything.
not ridden one without so I can't comment but I couldn't find a bad review of them, and I am well pleased with the bike.
