Sweet. That's next on my list. I guess the carbon covers are shite. I can't quite see how they would fit without looking a bit stupid.
I am thinking of painting mine gold too. The powdercoating on my 996 wheels is really iffy, even the balance weights have been painted over. Anyone know the paint code for the right colour... although do like the gold colour on the 998r in pic above!
ICI definitely can supply the paint and it is on one of their chips, I cannot remember the code though

I think I would go gold. They are nice looking wheels and gold makes them stand out more than black IMO. Should also go nice with your gold frame.
How light, forged aluminium or magnesium. They look very similar to my forged aluminium 2001 748R wheels which are grey not gold. If they are magnesium, likely to be the "race" version as the "road and race" version has reinforcing webbing in the channel on the rear. Andy
