New 750SS owner, Scotland

  1. Hi all!
Recently picked up a 94 750SS - bit of a dream bike for me as I always loved the 888 and early supersport models when I was younger. It's fitted with a 97 motor as the original showed signs of going pop. I actually got most of that 97 bike in spares when I bought this too! That's gone to a mate to be the basis of his cafe racer project.

She needs a fair bit of attention and a good old fashioned cuddle, but she'll be gorgeous again soon. ;) I'll get her roadworthy, see how she goes then start on a refurbishment (strip to frame, blast and paint, new most things and a few upgrades no doubt etc.).

Already done a fair bit of cleaning, selected the best of the panels from the two sets I have (half red and half yellow now :D), refurbbed the clutch reservoir cover (was ugly), and started checking the key things over (belts, callipers, battery etc.). And started making a "to do" list...

Chain's toast, so will replace that and the sprockets. Any advice on the best sprocket sizes?

Looking forward to your help, advice, comments and chat along the way.

    Mick..
