Just back from Spain trip and would recommend it! The bike was fantastic. Whilst away, I managed to skilfully drop / carefully place the MTS very slowly on the ground (off camber road and not moving) and so broke the end off my brake lever. I've since enjoyed the shorter leaver. I did a quick search of the forum but wondered if people had fitted shorter levers, which ones would they recommend? Thanks in advance!
I have the long ASV levers on mine, got them at last years NEC show on a deal, they are perfect, much more adjustment than pazzo's which comes in really handy if you change your clutch slave cylinder and you need to have more lever travel to compensate. Also as others have said they look the doggies danglies!
Not cheap and proper bling and would fold rather than break were you to do the same again. Ducati Motocorse Levers IMHO short levers are horrible pointless things.
Pazzo brake and clutch levers fitted...........Ian at Speedycom Performance Ltd (Uk distributor for Pazzo) was very helpful (thanks ) - probably knows more about Pazzo levers than most, the Canadian guy behind Pazzo is a mate of his!
I did that in Llandudno, filled the tank sat on the bike, then got off it without putting the sidestand down! I fitted Barkbusters after that.
Folding levers good, BarkBusters better. Ask me how I know this. Binned it twice at nearly zero speed practising ultra slow speed maneuvering in underground car park. Placed her gently once, and none too gently the second time on the left side...BB's took the hit. Zero lever/indicator shroud damage. Black marker pen on the BB scratches. Result.
Pazzo on mine, much better than OEM. Don't have experience of any others, so can't say if there are better ones out there.
Piece of pi** to fit. Late now but I'll take a pic tomorrow. Zero restriction on handlebar movement. As normal; however a caveat on non-OEM lever fitment! I bought DucaBike levers...bzzt, wrong. The super nice adjustment pinion wheels fouled the inner bend, where the BB's connect to the bars. Too long. All other levers should be A ok.
Agree - BB's are a piece of cake to fit and no clashes with fairing or standard Ducati screens - not sure about aftermarket screens and certainly not those "winglets" that some people are fitting?
