  1. I think I shall be putting my 2011 S Sport up for sale soon. Its fitted with sargent low seats. There is a previous thread about the ride height here Sargent Low Seat. | Ducati Forum You are a quite a way from me but you are welcome to come and try it for size any time you are up this way.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  2. Nick, you are welcome to try mine for size, and take it for a ride sometime. With or without luggage.

  3. Thanks for the offer Peter, I've got a test ride booked for Thursday morning.

  4. 2012 ABS bike is the smart buy ;)

  5. What makes it better? I'd like an S, but in reality an ABS will be plenty enough for me on the road.

  6. Just better value and less electronics/Ohlins issues to worry about. Also the 2012 model will hopefully have had most of the earlier bike niggles sorted.

I never saw the real benefit of eleccy suspension for the road, especially not for a £3000 premium

  7. Paid £11,500 for mine brand new on a 62 plate with the £1000 accessories deal chucked in, I think I done well, now on 5000 miles and have loved every minute, only issue I have had is a poor rear brake, sorted by a change of fluid and bleeding (for now)

  8. Well, I took a Multi touring out today, the skyhook is a great bit of technology! But in my mind, not worth the extra £3k. My local dealer has offered me an ABS, with panniers, heated grips, and a low seat chucked in as part of the deal. I'm also haggling for a free first service but that made him wince! I'll take the weekend to think it over. Oh, and the bike, superb! I loved dropping it into urban mode for the little bumpy lanes, then back into sport for the fast A roads. I've never had a brand new bike, and I'm sorely tempted. I can now see what the fuss is about :)

  9. Hi Nick, which dealer did u test ride at?

  10. I have -12 1200s and it is an amazing bike, I've done about 14k miles and my steering lock is gone, my heated handlebars is gone, both my fork seals are leaking, digital gauge swapped last year, rear brake is just something you see at other bikes, red button is about to fall apart, I've lost the c-clip on the right rear foot-peg three or four times, and the depreciation is far beyond anything imaginable, but I love riding it...

  11. I test rode the bike at Laguna in Ashford. I know about the faults, but the new bikes are supposed to have them all addressed, but that's what you'd expect the dealer to say! I hear a new bike may be due next year so that'll hit prices on the current model hard. Lots to think about.

  15. I agree about PCP, I would much rather own it at the end and then I can make up my own mind what to do! I may not want another Ducati!

  16. I always buy on PCP, gives me a cheaper payment with a guaranteed minimum trade in, its not for everyone though, I think of it as renting a bike with the option to purchase at the end, I have never gotten to the end of an agreement yet as im normally looking for a change after a year or two! **and you dont have to buy another ducati, the OFP is payable to the finance company, not the dealer.

  17. I've decided not to get one just yet. I rode my Elefant after, and apart from my old cottage needing some work, a new MTS just isn't worth £12,000 more than my old 'Fant. So I'll ride the old faithful Ele' to Italy this summer and see what the new MTS is like when it's released ;-)
