Wtd Sat Nav For 1098

  1. I'm after a Sat Nav or suggestions to use an iPhone 5 as one for a 1098... So either a traditional sat Nav unit If you have one for sale or can recommended a middle budget 1 or any pointers to use my phone as one, would need bracket & power line to make it work again any suggestions for those also

  2. I have the TomTom app (UK and West Europe) on my iphone. I use it in conjunction with ultimateaddons case and power lead for the bike. I also use it in my car. Works fine for me.

  4. I've not done this myself, but if you have an Optimate, I see they now offer leads that plug into the Optimate connector that instead allow you to charge / power phones etc. Seems like a good option if you already have an Optimate lead.

  5. I use the same a bootsam, it works a treat. Get a 1" RAM ball with sliding collar and fit it inside the clip-on bar.

    To power your phone get an Optimate USB charger that fits the Optimate plug probably already fitted to your bike. That will save attaching another terminal to your battery.

  7. You can also plug a USB lead into it and charge a tablet.

  8. Thanks guys, I run a Ctek charger! Hopefully I can get the cables for that to fit my iPhone.. Would save on me having to Mess with the battery...

  17. Morning all, waned to kick off this thread again. Being looking @ the iPhone5 options available for my 1098, still not sure what the full cost will be. I can't seems to find a bundle price for the suggestions above... Also I'm guessing to beat option for my bike is a handle bar fitment as I don't have a hollow stem nut. Any further links would be great.. To include power cover & fitment.. I'm struggling guys :(
