900ssie integrated mirrors / indicators

Discussion in 'Supersport (1974-2007)' started by popelli, Feb 10, 2013.

  1. are there any integrated mirrors / indicators available for the 900ssie

standard mirrors and standard indicators both look pants and looking for a better alternative

  2. Yeah, popelli, there's a set in the performance catalogue which I got and fitted to my bike. They look ace, and come with some basic blanking plates for the indicator holes left in the fairing too.

IMHO, not only do they look better, they allow me to see behind me better too :)

I've seen some non-OEM stuff in the past, and some of it was pretty nice, but I think the DP stuff was just that little bit more of what I wanted.

  3. which ones have you got Pablo? - have you got a pic of the bike with them on?

  4. Here's a few older pics. Just to let you know the spacing is slightly shorter, I had a new nose cone that had no drill holes. Original head light frame re-tapped and then nose cone drilled to match.

Moto-science did supply a set that fitted however the quality was quite poor compare to the high standard of the smaller space unit.

Overall this fitted in with my project as the half-fairings are blind with no cut outs for indicators, the view is better (Less elbow) and clearer due to better lense & less vibration. And I think they look far better.

    Cheers pablo

  5. thanks Pablo, did you have to use a resistor or change the relay at all?

Also can you expand on the dash and the tank - they look interesting, thanks :upyeah:

  6. Howdo Sev!

Yep used a single resistor for the indicators to work.

Clocks are ST3 ones and the tank in a Kevlar unit from ETi.

    Cheers Pablo

  7. For reference : Pablo used a Ducati 749/999 LED mirror with a Supersport 30mm foot.
All Ducatis older than a 1098 need the 27 ohm resistor when fitted with LEDS.
Goes across the + and - of each turn signal circuit. 2-3 watts size is enough.
