Having my 749 in for a major service in May, at Italia moto in Lincoln...was wondering if anyone else has used them and any feedback would be good..they quoted me £550 but if valves need doing could go up to £900 it's the 12000 mile service ....also need the tick over doing as it stalls all the time..
not had servicing done by them yet but dealt with terry on the parts department a few times and absolutely brilliant and the mechanics are a friendly bunch even when you want to pick there brains mine is going to be booked in when i get paid for a couple of items would highly recomend them
These guys are brilliant, I bought my 848 Evo off of them last year and ended up spending the best part of the day there. I'll be going to the shop sometime next week to enquire about any termi pipes they may have laying around the shop
I was visiting Lincoln and called in for a nosey. One of their mechanics noticed an issue with my chain adjuster, before I could say anything he had it in fixed and all for free. They get from me
Used them a few times for servicing my 1198, great service and friendly staff, I do my servicing after october as its winter service rates! Belts and fluids and stuff for around £400
I have only spoken to them on the phone ,but from that one long conversation they gave me a lot of confidence, much more than most of the modern Ducati dealers who are crap.
Thanks for the replies fellas, work hard for my money so don't want to give it To someone who,s gonna do a bad job, I will report back when I've been... I must say the phone calls have given me confidence, the guy who is dealing with me On the day wasn't in but phoned me the next day to talk me through what they We're going to do....
I bought my bike from them, decent bunch of people. These days my bike goes to Nelly at Cornerspeed, he's definitely worth checking if you want a good job doing.
Well, took my 749 on Saturday at 9am and went off into Lincoln with the wife to mooch about, Got a phone call at about 2pm saying the bike had been a bitch and all the valves need altering. We don,t think it will be done for today....I told them it would be difficult to get back to Lincoln in the week as I work....I rang them Monday as I,d tried to get finished early and move a few things around to hopefully Pick my bike up later on Monday afternoon....when I phoned them they said , oh I was going to ring you The guy who is working on your bike has phoned in sick so I don't know when it will be done..... Still waiting.....I use the bike every day for work .....and it's been really sunny today....
Have you got your bike sorted yet? I`ve only ever heard good reports about Italia Moto, I suppose anyone can have an off day. I would highly recommend you give Adam at V-Duo a try next time. He knows his stuff, even when you can see he`s busy he`ll still make time for a friendly chat and the kettle is usually on within seconds of walking through the door. I wouldn`t take my bike anywhere else. V-Duo Motorcycles Home
Picked bike up this morning, it wanted everything and a bit more...it just hasn't been looked after properly But the guys at Italian moto have gone beyond their usual service..all valves needed doing umpteen fasteners missing , headlights not bolted it , ie no bolts ...rusted up bolts all changed , rusty relays replaced....fuel mapping sorted..........everything.....been out on a good run this morning and it's a totally different bike ...very smooth and responsive....it's my first ducati and I thought thats how they rode before I had it serviced......it cut out , stuttered at low revs very jerky, but now , wow....it evens sounds better... Cannot recommend them enough...talked me through everything on the bike .... Excellent service and I will be going back there.....
Only bought parts from them but they've always been spot-on with the customer service and helpful when I was after advice. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to use them for service if they were local and I didn't do my own work.
