I think that many many comments on this post from people that are not interested in a product are pointless, and also this is a fact! People buy Ducatis and then complain if a spare part is expensive buy Ferraris and complain.... Just buy other brands! I think he has a point personally. The guy posted an ad for something for sale (relevant to the brand/forum) and others come in to trash/derail the thread, including the admin team all of which had no intention of buying the item or posting anything helpful at all. Way to make a new member feel welcome... I think it says something that we are on comment 24 of a thread without anything to do with the sale itself. If you don't like the price of it then simple, don't buy it or make him a sensible offer via PM.
Okay you make an interesting point there. Looking at his profile and posts, they have only posted six times (all in this thread) all of which in an attempt to sell something, something that is way overpriced. All that has happened is that other members have pointed this out. Nothing more, nothing less. I will ignore the snipe at me, I can live with that.

i fitted a set of rockers to a 20v alfa a while back after the t.belt snapped 15+vat. each shortly after i replaced the rockers on a vauxhall that use the same engine. 7+vat same box same part no.

No offence was meant and we are a very light hearted bunch, but you have to understand that offering something up for sale that is by all accounts wayyyy to much (thats before you post it from Italy) then don't be surprised if you get called out on it. If you decide not to stick around and join in with this community, then thats a shame, but this place is not ebay.
very valid point! on other bike & car forums i've been on, you have to have a minimum of 30 / 50 posts (including intro) before you can post anything in classifieds. don't know about anybody else but i think this can only be a good thing as it can help make forums a bit more genuine. ian
