We have 2 PC's and a Laptop all with I tunes on, one holds my stuff and the other PC holds all Dukes, the laptop just has some music and apps on but registered to Duke, does anybody know how I can get all my music from my PC onto Duke's PC without loosing his stuff ? Basically it is so all our music is on the one PC so we can share it. All help would be much appreciated!
I have asked hubby, he is now thinking about it, will get an answer to you soon. We are sat syncing our music as we surf the forums.
+1 Home sharing will allow you to copy music, films and videos on your 'shared' devices be they Apple TV or MacBooks/Apple Macs. Think it works the same on windows, but gave up on that years ago. Have a 3Tb drive with all our music and videos on, that is the Library for all the machines in our house. Nice and easy set up for a computing klutz.
I should know the answer to this, but I don't. But I work with a lot of people whose job it is to know. So if you don't get an answer you like, let me know and in 48 hours I'll tell you.
Yep it would've been about that per Tb from Dabs or such like, can't remember which online store I bought it from, came in it's own little caddy thing with a firewire cable.:biggrin:
We have it sorted, but hubby still cannot remember how he did it (story of his life!), apparently my netbook is being more clever than his laptop at present, when he remembers I will let you know.
Thanks Guys & Gals for your help, the links were really useful and I have managed to sort out homesharing to the laptop but on Dukes PC it keeps coming up with an error code so I have done a search and its to do with internet connection - it works of a wireless adaptor but i needed to use this for the other PC! hopefully be able to sort the rest out later tonight.
