Evening All. Im looking at replacing my Handlebar grips as the ones fitted are a bit worse for wear......… Does anybody have any recommendations ?. Cheers Dean
ProGrips are good. They're quite soft - mine are already a bit worn so if you want some that last forever then best look elsewhere... Progrip Race Grips 749 999 848 1098 1198 Ducati Corse | eBay
Cheers Dom. They look just the job.. Is there quite a bit of material / padding to them ?. Cheers Dean
as above - cannot recommend them more highly. Not sure they are all the same but they help to absorb vibration better than originals and are slightly larger outer diameter which suited me - I think they are 'dual density' :- soft on the outside but still a sturdy fit on the bars.
There are different constructions. I have race ones for the race bikes and there's a different compound that can live outside better
I've had the progrips on a couple of my bikes and they were great. The all black ones are better than the black red combo which seemed to wear quite quick...
Got the yellow and black ones on mine, had them on there for a couple of years and still look OK, but will need changing again soon.
Thanks guys. Had been wondering how to smarted mine up and have ordered some Pro Grip off the back of this thread. Will fit at the weekend hopefully.
You won't be disappointed, one of the best grips I have used and better than the stock Ducati ones and cheaper.
Fitted Progrips tonight. A bit of butchery to get the old ones off and the hairspray trick to get the new ones on. Much better. thanks guys.
Did you get the ones as per post 2? Or the other version which is straight cut lines and looks a bit harder (I guess thats the race version). This one: Progrip Race Grips 749 999 848 1098 1198 Althea Racing WSB Ducati Corse | eBay
Progrips are nice, looks good and feels fine but I have been very close to crashing on the track more than once when my glove grips the sticky rubber mid-corner and the engine suddenly revs up and scares the shit out of me! They look a little worn too after an unexpected horisontal parking in the grass/stones... Jim
