1 Jac Bike Lift

  1. I know there are a few lifts out there now for our bikes, a lot made in Germany

I did originally order a constand , (German) but it came with the incorrect fitting kit for my Multistrada 1200, even though contact with the seller insisted it was the correct one. But I'm afraid it wasn't, so I had now choice to return it. A well built item, but no good if it doesn't work!

Then I stumbled across this one whilst surfing the web, found out after they advertise on this forum! Dough!! And there British!

I spoke with Chris who was very helpfull and guaranteed there fitting kit would fit my bike, so order was duly placed

What a quality piece of kit, great value, well made and just as good if not better than the earlier constands I had to return.

30 mins assembly and adjustment and the bike was suspended and on the lift, both wheels off the ground.

Chris as even agreed to send me a black anodised top fitting sleeve nut to replace the silver one that comes in the kit, which I would like to replace, as this stays on the bike, and I think black would look better against the black frame. Only a small minor point, but I'm a bit like that! Nothing is to much trouble for these guys! They will even do you a custom paint job, if you so wish.

We'll pleased, and would recommend if your looking for a great stand

  2. Looks really good bit of kit that. No messing screwing on adapters each time by the looks of it too.
I bought a bike skate that goes under your centre stand to try and accomplish moving my bike around in a tight space, but it's useless on the MS due to the stupidly large foot bit gets in the way.
May have to treat myself come pay day :D

  3. Any chance you could show a picture or two of the black adapter? I do like these types of stands but the better the mounting points are hidden the better

    Cheers

  4. Moscow I also had a skate to go with an abba stand, it's called a moto glide on there site. But my bike is much more moveable on this stand, and it's a lot quicker to use

Damdici I haven't got the black adapter yet, Chris was getting some anodised last week. I'll post a pic when it's fitted. But here's a pic of the standard silver one that came in the kit. It actually doesn't really look that bad to be honest but I think it will look better in anodised black.

  5. I can see why you want it black with having all your other bits colour coded.
But that really is unobtrusive to keep on your bike all the time.
Just got to decide if I get this or get my garage door replaced like I have been planning for the last few months - before I broke into the savings for the Ohlins SCU and a Termi this month :D

  6. Popped around for a cuppa to witness this gadget in action,a proper piece of kit simple sturdy will do a great job and built in Yorkshire.
If it gets Boomers seal of approval then it is praise indeed, loves his bikes likes everything to function to perfection and having seen it I've just gotta have one.

  9. Boomer, I am tempted but one question, how does the adaptor fit to the frame, I guess it is bolted in but it use an existing fitting and if so how much fuss is it to fit?

  10. You remove the top engine mounting bolt, and refit it from the other side, using the adapter as the new securing nut. It replaces the existing nut for the engine bolt. 2 min job. Simples!!

  11. Boomer, i bought one last week & havent set it up yet. witch bolt hole have you used on the main plate??

  12. I used this mounting point

However I do have non gen adjustable foot pegs, so it may be different for you..?

You do need to be carefull that the adjusting rod doesn't foul your rear foot peg hanger when you operate the lift

    Hope that helps

  13. I finally got around to setting it up yesterday, nice bit of kit, works well, thanks for your help.
