I have a sheet of black self adhesive decal vinyl......I cut out a disc with diameter 12mm more than the tax disc.....and stick the tax disc on it......and stick the whole thing on the inside of the screen.........a b*****d to get off, so it won't blow away. AL
For me the obvious place on the 848 is by the chain guard bolted under the LH foot peg bracket - that's where mine was when I bought it. However, I've just replaced it with a much better looking carbon fibre one and now there's an issue. The old one's mounting bracket was a very thin piece of chrome-plated steel but the new one is much thicker and won't fit very easily between the frame and the foot peg bracket. If I tighten it to the recommended torque it will probably crush the carbon fibre as well so where else can I put it?

My tax disc was hidden on my D16RR by the dealer. I had to phone them to ask where it was - I thought they had forgotten to give it to me. Can you spot it? (the positioning is not strictly legal I gather).
I'm looking forward to slinging mine in the nearest bin in 3 months time Hate them and can't wait to see the back of the buggers
