Don't like motorways, but I do the M40 occasionally for ~40 miles. In abject boredom I checked the MPG, it was showing over 40 at > approved limits, I got 120 miles on 12 litres. I though these beasts were supposed to be heavy drinkers.
Well mine struggles to average 36mpg (that is normal street-use); not so good when you consider the RC8R averages 48mpg and even returns c36 mpg on the track!
Who cares about the MPG, you don't spend 150k on a 7 litre Bentley then whine it's only doing 14 MPG.
Exactly, who cares about MPG. I blame motorway boredom for making me think of it. I'm surprised it's that good.
I normally just fill up reset the trip and go, went to the ring recently and wanted to know miles travelled and found I averaged 42.6 MPG. Did my first track day last week and thought I would find out how thirsty it can be and got 26.7
I don't disagree but I do find comparative data interesting . I love both my Panigale and my RC8R and whilst they are both big V twins the way they develop and lay down their power could not be more different..."vive la difference"!
