Hi all I'm new to the whole forum thing.... I've been led to believe that Ducati owners can be passionate and friendly folk hopefully that was just in regard to the bikes! Its not hard to believe after picking up my 899. After a lot of deliberation it came down to not just investing a bit more ££ over the the Triumph Daytona R and Honda Fireblade which I thought were both great bikes when compared with my previous bike the Street Triple. The 899 just ticked all the right boxes including one of the most important for me ...the heart! I am so pleased with my choice and after a few hundred miles its just further confirmed that for me its the best choice. Any comments welcome. Thanks

mine's just a std 848, mate. i've heard only good things about the 899 though. have you had a look through the machines section of the forum? they have a dedicated 899 / 1198 page. you'll get some useful info from there.
