As to complete my home gym,I've brought a set off used commercial dumbells from a guy who had a gym in Birmingham.but over the years all the paint has come of them, any ideas what paint I could use to bring them back to life, something hard wearing is needed here.
To make them look better than they already are would be a bonus,my misses weights were brought from argos and IDE love to know what paint they use
Probably an enamel based paint. I have seen the bells have a rubberised coating applied which is better should you drop them.
I used car paint on mine many years back and its lasted pretty well. But then again I dont smash them together or drop them on the floor etc. If I was to redo mine id probably use something like engine enamel paint on them.
River silt. Launch from a good height they will get covered up in enough silt to prevent them being found again
Shot blasted then powder coated within the day, if poss. Once blasted, they will start to rust again within hours, even on a dry day.
