  1. Just wanted to say a quick hello...

Got my first ever Ducati this week, traded in my Daytona 675 towards the Hypermotard 796... felt the need to change after running out of luck on the road with sportsbikes, and won't be looking back!

Love the look, noise, feel and attention you get on the bike - grin factor all the way!

Unfortunately, she took a tumble last night when being parked, and I managed to destroy the right hand guard and snap the brake lever - so replacement parts have been ordered from Italo-Shop in Germany; as despite seeing many people lose these parts in favor of better mirrors... I couldn't find any on eBay :-(

So here's to a speedy repair and being back on the road.

    All the best guys.

  3. Welcome in! I had a Daytona 675 also (a 2010) and it was good but really love the Ducati so glad I made the change. Happy motoring

  4. how do, there was a lot of triumphs in the preloved department when i had my bike down for a service last week.

  5. Welcome Scort.

  6. I jumped ship from a Speed Triple to a Streetfighter. The Speed was a peach as well and I'd got it for a good price. I felt bad about it for a while....... until I'd ridden the SF about 300 yards..

  13. Hi there! I part own a 675 with my brother and I have to say the duc wins every day, triumph is still a lovely bike though.
I was deciding between a hyper or monster for months, looks like a very fun bike!

  14. Thanks for the welcomes fellas :-D

The Bike is all fixed now, but I found out (the hard way) that replacing a broken lever with a Titax one - wasn't a simply case of bolting it on - as per levers for my 636 Ninja, R1, GSXR 750 and Daytona 675 of old... it turned out that there's an adjustment screw that needed to be wound out!

Test ride after fitment was fine, but the commute into work the next day resulted in the front brake locking on, though thankfully just as I had slowed into a 40 zone - so I managed to get the bike to the side of the road before grinding to a complete stop.

D*ckhead award to me, but thankfully the wife was on hand, and a phone call later I had an allen key in hand winding the blasted screw out - all good now (I hope!!!).

Suffice to say, I will be taking more care and researching before changing anything else, instead of assuming it's like my bikes of old...

Still makes me smile when I ride her :)
