Hi guys, anyone know of a ducati or italian bike mechanic who has his own workshop in the west London area, sort of one man band operation? I'd rather use a down the back alley man rather than taking bike to main dealers with their high costs etc... Thanks in advance...
There is one in Wandsworth but the name escapes me, In Old York Road, not far from the Wandsworth bridge roundabout .
thanks, i'll check that out. i remember that place years ago when i was based at silverthorne road, battersea, when i had my triumph daytona super3 back in the mid ninties.
thanks mate, you may be referring to the bike place that was on the main road in bedfont. if so, it's no longer there. i used to take my triumph daytona super3 there for service years ago and yes, they were a ducati and triumph outfit back then (mid 90's) they're now on the twickenham rd A305 opposit macdonalds. a yamaha dealership now i believe.
Yep, Dave Robinson in Wandsworth. Never used him but heard good reports. I've just looked up West London Ducati in Hanworth, but the Ducati and Suzuki pages are down, I suspect they may have gone belly up. Shame if they have, I found them pretty decent.
I take mine to a guy who is right near South Mymms roundabout, top of the M25 Jamesy, if you fancy a 40 minute ride? My last belt service for the 749 was £150 plus parts. Will definitely take my SF to him, aswell as the wife's VW.
I've used Mike Dawson (MD racing in Walton on Thames) on my last 998 a few years back and can happilly recommend him. He's independent but Ducati trained as well and he'll pick your bike up in his Van if you can't ride it.
Mike at MD Racing in Walton has my bike in for the 1st time this week after being recommended here. Nice Guy, great service, nice set-up and reasonable prices too, picking it up tomorrow. An alternative is West London (see the connection there ) Superbike in Feltham, they started up with Ducati's when Daytona packed it in.
