Any known issues on a 998S that won't start. It's been laid up for a while, but started ok less than 4 months ago. Being lazy really...just want to know what people found to shorten the experience. Been on bike tender, battery excellent, spins over fast. Took off tank and completely drained fuel (loads of Sh1t in it). New UNleaded fresh from Tesco... Spins fine, but no fire... Next step is check ignition with a spare spark plug then all the usual checks.
prob toxic poisoning then can't think of anything obvious above the usual reluctance after only 4 months definitely do the sparking thing and put a couple of new (or at least dry) ones in - if you have a spark then you could try a short squirt of WD40 via inlet filters if you don't mind soiling them slightly and churn immediately.
Does the fuel pump whine when you turn it on? Mine did everything you describe, except the relay was knackered - new one in and it started fine.
