Any snippets of news on a new model of the 1200 multistrada? I've missed mine so much I'm considering a new one. Or Something better? Any suggestions?
If they put a shaft and a 4 bolt wheel on the back, I would buy another. Tried my mates, now run in GSA LC "in anger" recently and as much as it is improved over the old air cooled, it still isn't as sharp or indeed enjoyable to hurl down a Welsh road as the Multistrada. It's just that I like the big distance touring practicality of no chain and the roadside ability to get the rear wheel off.
In the cycle Ducati run, the MTS is probably due a facelift in the next couple of years. I doubt a whole new bike as they have a lot of launches of late and already the MTS has the newer 1200 engine and seen across a few bikes and the suspension. Someone on here said a new Panigale upgrade is next.
Has been said before but a Panni engined Mutley. No more belt service pain/costs. Airbagged-up and maybe an ashtray
I want one....:Woot: I could use the ashtray for coins, like my van. I'd love the exhaust note of the Superleggy.
in terms of something else (not necessarilly better) there is a new beemer due out next year with a K series (detuned RR) engine, that might be worth a sniff. I suspect that may take a few MTS sales. The old ST range ran for close on 10 years from what I recall, with facelifts every 3 years. Given the current MTS was also facelifted after 3 years, that means 2016 would be the next facelift. A number of things are talked about by the dealers, including colour display, possibly including satnav, and also TPMS. Mind you, the MTS was expected to have TPMS when launched, so its a long time coming and I wont beleive it until I see it...
