Does r1 throttle tube fit 748?

  1. I've just got my first v twin a 748 with a 916 lump fitted, I'm used to riding gsxr1000, I've noticed that to hit full throttle I have to grab a handful and then another handfu, I've read on here that people have been fitting 04 r1 throttle tube to 996s to eliminate this, can I do this to mine and is it as straight forwards as it looks

  2. i don't get this.......the r1/r6 tube is twin cable for a start........secondly the 748 996 998 single cable throttle is 67 degrees zero to hero.........so doesn't need any upgrade unlike the twin cabled 749 999 that is over 90 degrees zero to hero so does warrant the change!

  3. You say the 748/916 is 67 degrees hero to zero, it takes me 2 handfuls to hit the stop this seems a lot of travel for full throttle? My gsxr1000 hits the stops with less than a full twist of the wrist

  4. i would check your hand sizes, or adjustment then....or go look at a std 749 999 that will really depress you....

the r1 tube mod was specifically for the 999 749...ive never heard it fitted to a 748.....

  5. Throttle Mod on my 06 GSXR 750

this was an interesting post ....says gsxr 600 was 1/4 turn ....is that 90 degrees.....funnily enough complaining about the same thing...

  6. The gsxr was far less twist of the wrist for full throttle
