There'll be about 5 of us.... 2 of us maybe on bikes (me and one mate). I have no idea where we are going as my mate booked the tickets and Ive never been before in fact I've never been to anything like this before.
I've a funny feeling the binoculars will be needed..... While I'm looking forward to the atmosphere I've a funny feeling I won't see much!
I checked out our stand (Woodcote A) on the telly during the F1 at the weekend. Looks like I should be able to see a decent amount. I'm intending to watch every session too!
Tom, think your getting the track layout a bit confused, the start and finish line is over the other side of the circuit next to the wing. That said you'll get a great view but not of the final last corner lunge for the line.
The MotoGP starts from the old F1 pits no? The Silverstone map shows it as the old side. I should be able to see the final corner, reasonably close to the track.
Unfortunately for me ping is right.. I thought the start/fin was as it was in 2012 but its the same as last year.. I will ave a great view from club but not of the start/fin, last corner podium bla bla.... I blame the woman for only listening to me when im wrong....
Yep your right (senior moment), in that case I'll wave to you when I'm in pit lane and on the grid for the Silverstone 200 support race, you'll see me for sure as my racer will be last on the grid, but he enjoys himself.
Its my birthday today and my Mrs got me a VIP weekend at Silverstone from these guys British Grand Prix 2014 : Silverstone MotoGP tickets, VIP Village, hotels
I will be going. Me and the Mrs have been the 2 years on the trot and we've stopped at a fantastic little BnB about 7 miles away from the track. Haven't purchased the tickets yet, but i wondering if anyone had every done the hospitality package? Is it worth it or not?
Anybody going? I'll most probably go up Thursday pm to set up camp, sample the beers etc. I'll then pick up the better half on Friday. This is my first visit to Silverstone for about 10 years. I wasn't impressed then but I hear it has improved (better stands and facilities, TV screens etc.). I managed to get seats in the Luffield stand. It looks like being one of the better stands, any comments? Cheers Kevin
Full weekend pass with roving grandstand Fri/Sat and reserved seat in grandstand on race day for £35 sir? Oh well, rude not to
