1200 Mutley With An Identity Crisis

  1. This is the most likely scenario; as replacement clocks need to be linked to the BBS.
Loosing the DES is one of the symptoms of an incorrectly linked speedo/clocks.

  2. I've just been through this. The possible causes are:
    1) A new BBS ECU or software upgrade has been installed and the BBS wasn't paired with the DES ECU. You have to TELL the bike it's DES equipped.
    2) The DES ECU has failed. Normally in this case you'd get error codes though.

Dealer required to sort it I'm afraid!

  3. Thanks v much. I'm taking him in this evening and am hopefully that when I pick him up on Sat morning the brain surgery will have reminded him that he's got DES and heated grips.

  4. its called a proxy alignment

  5. If the back brake is shit al;l I can confirm is its a MTS

  6. If the clocks have been changed (which is likely) and you didn't know about it I'd be a little concerned as the mileage would have reset to zero on the bike when they were changed

  7. I spoke to protwins (ozzy guy) and they said the mileage could be transferred over.
    Is this incorrect then?

  8. I believe the mileage can only be transferred on 2013 and newer bikes.
