  2. is there enough to allow me to put a gel pad under it say maybe 10/12mm thick?

  3. Not sure, the guy who fitted it said there was only just enough material to cover it properly.

  4. Got mime through, just need to get motivated to fit it now! Fair sized bit of material mine is but wouldn't like to say.

  5. Done at last.... didn't take me long lol. Had a local shop do it in the end and it needed some stitching rather than just folding over and staples. Well happy with it though, just need to get the rest of the bike back together now. Soon be summer!

  6. So how are these alcantara seat covers holding up?
Any wear and tear issues? Do they stain if they get wet? I know they`re not waterproof so if they do get wet, how long to dry out? When I say wet, I mean rain, not bladder problems ;).
I was maybe thinking plain without the embroidery.

  7. Wear and tear seems OK,dont know about it when its wet....I never intentionally ride in the rain.

  8. I would think it would be sensible to have some kind of plastic covering underneath, to stop water penetrating to the foam and never drying out...

  9. Got my seat back today with the cover fitted. Had it professionally done by Paul Harrison, of this site. Village Upholsters in Bookham, not far from Steve Jordan's for those that know the area.

Paul's done a fantastic job much much better than I could have done just stretching it and stapling it. He's taken the excess material from the top and used it at the front and properly sewn in the return rather than folds.
