I nearly got one of these for a trip to North cape. Shit weather/fuel/speeding etc. but just never had the time. Remind me not to mention it if I rekindle the idea.
Well a week of commuting in and it's great! I park up, chuck all my kit in the mahooosive rear box and wander in. I've yet to fill it up, and it's only a 10 litre tank. My car would've done half a tank by now! If I lived in a city I don't think I'd use anything else. I took it out in the pissing rain the other day, wiper on of course, and just got damp shoulders, and this was on the motorway. My jeans were almost completely dry! I've nothing left to proove, I can live with the shame ;-)
Well, it's obvious now that the OP is fatally compromised. Volunteers please to drop him off at the vet for a painless end and a safe disposal?
I know we all sneered a little when this was posted but after riding two hours in the cold and rain this morning I would have happily swapped for one.
I rode up to Scotland this weekend and 80% of the time id have swapped too The other 20% of the time on dry roads, in Sport mode...f@ck me.... the Mutley is a missile and I love it.
I've used it all weekend, wiper and heated grips/seat on. I also bought one of those daft waterproof leg covers to complete the daft look. The result is I've cut through the traffic, visor up, warm and dry to work. Even on the motorway only my elbows got damp! One of the guys who has a bike and pissed himself when I turned up to work on it, said he'd rather ride my C1 home yesterday than his GSXR ;-) I love it!
Next some stringback gloves, a cheesecutter cap and a tartan blanket. Maybe someone can send him a gold tissue box to put above the seat.
If you want comfort and weather protection, why not go the whole hog? This one is a BMW too by the way.
I had a chat with this guy on the DGR. He's built another bike using a K100 motor, but with a C1 roof and screen!
yeh ok I have been out in some pretty horrendous weather last few days,, but honest mate,, can you not just take a taxi.. or go on a bus !!
