  1. Agreed - did mine last week which sorted it, but also fitted new slave (29mm over the old 22mm) and the clutch is also nice and light now :)

  2. Will bleed it tomorrow, Look at getting a new slave maybe!

  3. I am on my second Multi, both have had very poorly made slave cylinders. My first bike ended up with 2nd gear being eaten up and spat into the engine. The issue as I understand i, as explained by a Ducati dealer in Italy is that the slave cylinder doesnt quite allow the pin to go quite far enough to activate the clutch. You can set it up to be more effective with the lever but will slowly go back to difficult gear selection quite soon. On my new bike I have slowly felt the gear selection getting harder and harder. My dealer replaced the slave cylinder under warranty with a new design (ducati know there is an issue), seems a bit better!
If its hard to get into gear, the bike is most certainly not right, consistently forcing it isnt the answer, as I learned with my previous Multi.

  4. If 1st gear goes in OK when stationary and you have to release the clutch a little before drive starts to take up and there is no creep with the lever pulled all the way in then the problem is not the clutch. Possibly a selector problem? I have done 25,000 miles on two mts and not had a gear or clutch problem except for the fluid turning black.
