Just got The Legend Of Johnny Cash. Didn't have anything by him and this double LP has a good selection including 4 Rick Rubin produced tracks that he did(American Series) just before he died in 2003.

 

Fin, find the 12" vinyl version of 'Connected'.

 

first time people hear that track knowing the circumstances can get you going - did me. His wife is in the video but it's the most subtle appearance, she didn't last much longer either - went 4 months before J.C.

Got the new U2 album on the deck now, lovely white vinyl, arrived today also. A really good album that they've damaged their reputation(further?) with by giving it away on iTunes. Apparently it still charted at 4 when hard copy went on sale.

After telling mates I wasn't buying anymore vinyl and listening to what I've got, I've done a swift 50 on 3 this week. New Tom Petty is in the post from Germany.

 

Its worth the hunt. Its cool. Love that track. Its the only vinyl I ripped to mp3.

 

They loved each other, I believe - and she would have done - and did, at times, everything for him. No more fitting than to have left this world within days of each other... Johnny Cash, by the way, is a god....

 

Led Zeppelin, when the Levee Breaks = I think possibly up there in the top three of their best...
