Hi, I've just replaced my split expansion tank but was unable to remove two of the three brass pins holding the sensor on the tank. They snapped as I tried to unscrew them. Anyone here have two they can sell me please? Regards rdw748
You can buy them from a Ducati dealer, they were certainly available a couple of years back. Most seize in or have the heads damaged so finding someone with a decent set is not that easy. The small rubber joints that damp the sensor were also available.
I took mine off when I went to a corse tank without the sensor so i should have mine spare to post out to you. I'll let you know when I'm home from work but if they're not where i think it'd be pointless me looking further. My organisation of spare bits i won't need anymore is a bit poor to say the least.
Bugger. Can't find the bolts, but then I can't find expansion bottle at all. Must have filed it somewhere. I will have more of a look but if no-one else can help you might need a dealers. Or find some others to fit?
Guys, thanks for your help, I was just looking to save a little time. I've tried to explain to someone the parts I am after on the phone without success, I'll have to go in again and physicaly point at the part that I want on the screen
Spoke with a very nice man at Moto Rapido who can sort me out with the studs, Haydn I have alloy bolts in at the min. I'm now looking to replace the rubber insulating sleeve over the joint on the sensor itself, mines perished, anyone have a couple spare ? Thanks
You can buy these with the appropriate connector, you have to remove the connector to fit the rubber boot unless you slit it and join it together with something like superglue.
