  1. New, originally around £500, this one about £250, he used it once then it has sat in my garage. Mind you that is my fault for not taking him out with it more.

  2. I have been into nitro hellies for a while, more expensive than the Ducati to maintain though.

  3. I just sold a ??400, got that for my son, started it and it nearly lifted him off the floor, they are bloody powerful. He found a small mcx hard to control so the big one went the ebay route.

He then got a quadcopter thing for xmas, tried that once as well as I couldn't get it to bind properly to his Spektrum dx6i properly and Spektrum were as much use as tits on a bull.

  4. The Doris is giving me grief. She thinks a hundred quid tops on this....I disagree. Obviously.

  5. Go to a local RC race club. It is always very friendly and the racing is mad. Modern cars with metal platforms make for 50mph racing and the occasional crash. I have an old Tamiya Boomerang but that wouldn't last 3 laps now. Think zinging sounds with cars hurled 3ft in the air, top stuff. It is well organised, and when you race you marshal for the following one.

  6. I've got a HPI Nitro RS4, loads of engine work done with a bigger carb on it, lots of alloy bits to stand up to the extra power. it's so quick it's uncontrolable and rips the tyres out in half an hour, great fun though, the kids love it too!!
