Well, pt2 Direct Access passed on Friday. Test rides booked at Riders Ducati dealer Tuesday pm. I cannot express how excited I am. Been down there 3 times this week to stare / sit / buy the kids toy bikes. Is ownership this good too??? Like childhood, Xmas and sweetshops all roled into one
Lol, I've owned bikes for years and that sums up exactly how I felt when I got my first Ducati - there is just something special about um.
Welcome and Congrats x2 (test and Ducati;-) .............so put your money down on anything? ....enter your bike details in your Profile
Hi there, what bike are you looking at? If it's a Ducati it is going to be special. But be warned, they really get under your skin. Chris.
Thought best be 'sensible' with 1st bike so test rode the M1100 evo. Gorgeous. Beautiful ride. So I bought the Streetfighter 848! Because I liked it even more. Haven't smiled so much ever. Amazing. Gonna have to be careful...
you are possibly sick of hearing it but... PLEASE be careful, take your time and never ride faster than your comfort zone. You cannot beat expieriance so take care and enjoy. Chris.
Advice v much appreciated. Despite my unbridled enthusiasm, thoughts of my 2 kids will keep my feet (wheels?) firmly on the ground. Thank you regardless
You won't always think about them while riding it's such a buzz to get out there it's tempting to go faster at times and confidence kicks in ( mother of two )
It still does that to me now and wandering into the garage to gaze fondly over mine always raises a smile! Its very uplifting. Ride carefully Mark
I must be some sad old git. I can't think of anything at all that makes me feel like this (except when you fall in love with a real live human being). Which is a real pity. It would be so much easier to just buy a bike. Good on you!
Fantastic! I've heard good things about the 848 SF, I'm sure the two of you will have some great times together.
What? Can't get excited about a new bike? I don't know what to say really (which is very unusual). Chris.
I dunno. Maybe the novelty has worn off. Maybe it's the realisation that I'm unlikely to have any more fun on a new bike than on the existing one. That's not to say I don't like getting a new bike or car, just that I can't get that excited about it. Last time I felt like that was getting my house. First house I have owned (only took 40 years). Also, only house I have owned.
