  1. For sale £7,999

Ok had this about 6 months, nice bike, just not sure its for me,
since having it I have repaired the exhaust, had a new battery, service and a new front tyre fitted
It has a private plate that will be removed before/or once sold

Ducati Sport Classic 1000 monoposto in yellow 2007 on 57 plate 5103 miles, may increase slightly if the weather is nice Full service history, belts were done last year MOT until May 2015 (no advisories)

Comes with: Termignoni slip ons and ECU Small black bar end mirrors Black CNC fluid tanks with clear hoses Full R&G crash protection kit (frame and both axles) Open clutch cover with Oberon pressure plate and spring caps Tail tidy with a small number plate Corse Dynamics low profile dash mounts Higher clip-ons (like on 2008 biposto model) 14t front sprocket

Most original parts are included and all mods are bolt-on, so it can be easily returned to original state. One of the original mirrors is damaged The previous owner dropped it at a low speed and damaged the mirror and exhaust (please see photos). I have now repaired the exhaust best I can (sanded it down and re-sprayed it, you can still see it but its a lot lot better than it was)

All paperwork present, both keys plus the red key, no outstanding finance, all previous MOTs and a pile of receipts. Always garaged and really looked after. Brake and clutch fluid changed about a month 6 months ago. Both tyres have plenty of thread left. I'm happy to answer any questions or arrange a viewing in Rainham Kent

  2. If you haven't done so already, pop in MCN bikes for sale or Autotrader. This will get snapped up

  3. You might have to wait till next Spring to get a good price.Good luck with the sale.

  4. The one for £10.5k has been for sale for 6 months. The other was sold privately for sub £7k and now the dealer is trying to make a few quid. At £7 - £7.5k they move but as already said you may have to wait until the spring. Maybe worth putting it back to standard, that's what everyone wants, perhaps a Ducati dealer might sell for you and they'll get a premium, they're crying out for them.

I have noticed that SC's are taking a little more shifting in the last 6 months, last year they were flying out the door. Having said that JHP have just sold a 1000S with Termi's, minimal mileage for £12995

  5. You'll make more by getting it back to standard and the selling the parts individually. Traditionally, parts sell in winter, bikes in Spring and Summer

  6. wait for the new season and then sell. lovely bike by the way.offer it fully loaded and if someone interested in standard then review the price for them and sell the parts.anyone with these bikes need to upgrade anyhow so it should sell modified as long as you include all parts to return to standard condition.

  7. Ok had some silly offers, some people making offers then changing there mind, it has about 6 more days on eBay, so if it dosnt go, looks like I eaver let it go for £7,200 or keep it, what do we think?

  8. Keep it.

This has always been the worst time of year to sell any bike let alone a quirky retro styled sportsbike (if you had ready cash, the best(cheapest) time to buy).
If you want a better price then wait until March or April before selling

  9. Sell it if you can, otherwise wait until the Spring. It will get snapped up if we have a nice April :)

  10. Keep it. Its a lovely bit of kit and you'll regret selling it - just as I have with virtually every bike I have sold!

  11. I think you should keep it.The feeding frenzy for the Sport Classic range seems to have cooled down-you might have to wait for a buyer willing to pay top dollar.Good luck with whatever you do.

  12. wrong time of year to sell, right time to buy.
offers on new ones dealers want selling figures met, private desperate owners need space of cash for the festive time.

  13. May just take the £7,300 I have been offered

  14. £7300 is a good price for this time of year, I'd snap his hand off..

If you don't need to sell wait until the spring but I don't think you'll get that much more. Who knows they may start going down in price...

  15. The hipsters will start buying the Scrambler in the new year....I reckon the Sport Classic market will flatten off pretty sharpish!

  16. I agree that the hipsters will buy the scrambler like the sheep they are ('scuse me while I laff), but the sports classic will always have an older type more discerning demographic, thus, potentially keeping prices higher.

It's a bit like the old wide-mouthed frog gag. "You don't see many of those around these days, do you?"

    Nice bike btw !!!

  17. The other SC on eBay was bought last month for £6k before being flipped. I'd take the £7300 and run

  18. The other one has sold to someone that was going to buy mine, he has paid around £7,400 but because he has dealer facilities it was easier for him to get finance, mine is going tomorrow to a car dealer for £7,200, absolute bargain, but sometimes we do these things to move on
