Hi, I need some help with my clutches! part 1 I've recently brought a 2nd hand DP/Bucci slipper clutch and there seem to be parts missing. (16 & 17 on this diagram) Does anyone know if I can get these parts seperately or anyone have a spare (or dims so i could get one made)?? it's a 48T not as in the diagram, would that make a difference?
I guess that the washer 17 goes onto the end of spacer(16). Does this then sit on the inner part of the big bearing? I assume washer (18) is the curved one. the diagram seems to indicate this goes in the spacer? does is do that or sit on the outside edge? (and which way round does it go? concave inwards?)
16 is an o ring that goes onto 17. this 'spacer, complete with o-ring' is then seated over the shaft and pushed right through the oil seal as far as it will go. (the o-ring is internal to the top hat spacer) I put the washer with the concave facing out. I suspect it doesn't matter either way or if it does its not crucial. Try Motowheels for a spare.
maybe?? unfortunately part 2 of my clutch problem is that the std clutch i took off didn't have that part either.... so now i can't put either clutch back on. it obviously worked without it, but i can't put it back together knowing it's not there... i'd imagine the std ducati part might be easier to get hold of....
You need the top hat shaped one. Its deeper than the standard one. I hope you can get your standard one off the shaft. I had one hell of a job removing mine. Try HM Racing. They sell spare parts for STM clutches. I bought a spider spring from them. They may help. Motorcycle Dyno Tuning | Suspension | Engine | Servicing HM Racing
@bootsam Did you get your big(er) nut from there? I'm also in the market for a slipper, IIRC the 748/916 ones will go on the 1098/1198 but you need the bigger nut. Is that the only difference? Cheers
