right been trying to remember what order they were in but here we go not got photo's of all my bikes so some below are pinched of google might have missed a few well the first one was a real scrapper my dad got me for a fiver when I was 11 he said if I could get it running I could have it well took 2 weeks of not having a clue and pedalling but it ran then came the road bikes must get a more updated piccy of the last one
I've had so many bikes I can't remember all of them without prompting...only come to mind when someone says,"that old whatever you had..." And only two registration numbers: DPE 56J,my old Kawa 500 H1 2434 IL,Triumph 500 caff racer, first bike after passing my test
I've just twigged - you must be Red Molly! Richard Thompson would be proud (but he wouldn't give you his Vincent Black Lightning motorbike to ride, I imagine).
If you mean mine......... .......then the first one was an odd thing.........a 250cc Francis Barnett with a Jaguar piston and an Alvis liner (I think that's what we used) with appropriate ports cut in them..........and after this pic, a Wal Philips fuel injector thingy was fitted (nothing like today's electronic injection) which dripped petrol everywhere whenever the bike was stationary. I miss that bike like a hole in the head............ ..............just as I do the Z400...effing horrible bike. Out of those shown, I reckon I miss the Guzzi LM (brilliant handling and easy to ride long distance), the ZZR (blue one.....superb riding position and surprisingly easy to chuck about) and the RX (despite it being such a pig to handle, move and pick up when I dropped it).......... .....but I also miss a Velocette Viper with a Thruxton tank (went 'bang' every two telegraph poles); a well caffed Super Rocket (went like hell....well, it did in those days) and a Kawasaki KH500 (a well stretched rubber band).........and there are others that I just don't have photos of.
yes I did mean you al just realised I put two l's but hey good response lol daft as it sounds I miss the battered gsx quite a bit almost wish I had kept it and put gsxr running gear on it but engine was a bit ropey as well
Feel a new thread coming on the one that got away. Al, had several zzr11's a c1 and d7, good fast mile eaters. Had them both flat stick on an autobahn enough for me to realise far faster than I am. Rx and zx10 were completely different beasts, the 10 was a big improvement on the rx. Obviously had a thing for bikes from khi.
