this may cast a bit of light on the matter. Servicing Plan N4'SQ - Ducati Servicing - Ducati Bikes Glasgow
My dealer does half price labour over winter , so cost of plugs clean race filter . Meant to b 16 hours then to stat with ducati now say 10 so I pay for 5 . But gettin painted , few mor bits n bobs si quess cost will be more than I wanted ha
Yep definitely best time to get your bike serviced is this time of year especially just into new year as a lot of dealers are quiet and offer a discount on servicing.
Got mine done. £955 that was with new front brake pads. None of the valves were out. It still needs new chain, and another set of new tyres for next year... Panigale is more expensive to run than 1198.
Am I the only one who finds this sort of breakdown a pain ? At a glance I'm going to pay £330 to do my valves, only it's also going to cost me £230 for the service and if I need the fluids another £144. So the thick side of £800 plus consumables. Why can't dealers just give you the total price for the job ? Andy
That's actually brightened up my day because I remember thinking that excluded vat. After paying peanuts for jap 4 servicing I'll never forget my first service bill for my 749.............
Sissy, No pics of the front cylinder head then?? As we all know, this is the difficult one to get at, needs the front subframe removing apparently? If it were my bike I'd like to see those pics for proof its been done. Even the dealers call the 15 k service the 'trade in' service !!!
£800 for a service albeit every 15k is quite expensive for a two pot engine. My M3 costs only (in a manner of speaking) £200 more at £1000 every 3 years when it needs (according to the dealer) a full service which includes oil, fluids, plugs (8), and valves checking etc. Otherwise it's about £250-300.
